Mayors Challenge 2008 Presidential Candidates

It appears the urgency for urban issues is catching on. Campaign in the City: Mayors on the Issues, a joint project by The Nation and Drum Major Institute, has interviewed 10 mayors around the country for their ideas to reestablish our urban agenda. Given the recent revelation that people living in cities is now equal to the number of those who are not, as published in The Endless City, I felt the timing was appropriate.

Atlanta, Mayor Shirley Franklin

Hopefully the pressure can be continued to push the presidential candidates to address a real urban agenda.
