New and Improved AOU
Not only am I back from vacation and rejuvenated, but this blog has been refreshed with a makeover. You are now viewing the next generation of ‘agents of urbanism.’ For those old and new, I will explain some of the changes below.

If you are not interested in the description of changes, please answer the poll that asks what you think of the site’s redesign, located on the ‘polls’ tab at the top right. I’m curious to see if you all are as pleased with the changes as I am.
Graphically, I hope you enjoy the modified header and the new color scheme.
In terms of the blog’s organization, I tried to improve the user experience through two major changes. First, I condensed the left and right sidebar into a single sidebar on the right. This should make the daily content much more prominent, and all the miscellaneous site information condensed to the side. Second, I added the tabber feature at the top right. This allowed for further reduction in space for miscellaneous information. Here you find tabs for site search, site categories, blog archives, blog subscription information (if you haven’t already you should use one of the many feed subscription methods provided in the tab), and a tab to maintain my current polls.
I’ve also added a short introduction of myself for any newcomers with a link to the expanded version. As for the rest of the sidebar there is still some work to be done. The glossary will make an appearance in the sidebar and my book recommendations will be returning. These additions will appear soon, but I wanted to take redesign ‘live’ once it had reached a certain level of completion. That’s all for now, but return soon as I start posting again.
If you happen to find any bugs with the new design, I would appreciate it if you informed me of those so I can fix them ASAP. I doubt I caught everything.
Hope you enjoy the new design, and don’t forget to tell me what you think in the comments or by answering the poll.
